Well, this is unexpected—but apparently, I’ve been officially knighted… Canadian style! 
I’m honoured (and slightly baffled) to share that I’ve been awarded a King Charles III Coronation Medal, which sounds very regal until you realize they gave it to a guy whose job mostly involves yelling “Action!” and snacking at craft services. In all seriousness, I’m beyond grateful for this recognition and for the chance to represent Canada through the power of storytelling. A huge thanks to everyone who’s been part of this wild ride—your support is the real crowning achievement. And thank you to my wonderful and supportive MP Leah Taylor Roy who’s come to several of my screenings over the years and who’s office has always gifted me Canadian flags and pins to bestow to others at film festivals outside of our country.
Now, excuse me while I practice my royal wave.
