Yesterday marked a monumental day for our team as we officially wrapped production on Silver Screamers! This documentary has been an extraordinary journey—one filled with laughter, challenges, and moments of heartfelt connection. At its core, Silver Screamers celebrates a group of spirited seniors who defy expectations by stepping into the world of horror filmmaking. Watching these incredible individuals take on this creative adventure has been inspiring, humbling, and truly unforgettable.
The idea for Silver Screamers was born out of a desire to tell a unique story about creativity and aging. We wanted to shine a spotlight on the untapped potential of seniors, proving that age is no barrier to pursuing your dreams. From their initial brainstorming sessions to stepping on set with blood (fake, we promise!) and screams, these seniors poured their hearts into every moment. They’ve reminded us all that creativity is timeless, and resilience is a skill honed through years of life experience.

As we backed up our footage from the shoot, our 97 year old sound recordist Audrey Cameron and I shared a well-deserved glass of wine in her retirement home. I’ll miss this inspiring group of seniors, but look forward to spending time with them during post production!
